It’s been a troubled weekend, here at home.
Yesterday afternoon our youngest son, David, began vomiting any food we would give him. My wife had a bad feeling about that, so after dinner we decided to take him to the hospital.
The doctors were puzzled with his symptoms: no fever or diarrhea; just vomit. And he was behaving like any normal kid between vomits. So the doctor suggested that he should stay in the hospital for the night. Today David had fever and diarrhea. So this is gastroenteritis. It happens to kids. He will stay another night at the hospital (just for precaution) and he will come back home tomorrow.
When the doctor first told us that David should stay at the hospital, my wife had tears in her eyes. She told me: "Sometimes our life seems to be so full of trouble..." "Not really", I answered, "If we were Egyptian baha’is living in Egypt they wouldn’t even admit us in the hospital. That would be serious trouble, for sure..."
Can you imagine what would happen to this child if he were son of Egyptian baha’is living in Egypt?
